Congrats to the concert band on another great performance this past saturday at Hershey Park. The band received first place with a superior rating and best overall concert band.

If there are any folks that have not turned in banquet forms and money please do so asap as we need a head count for Morningsides.

Instrument Inventory: At the end of this week I will be working on our school inventories. Please make sure all school instruments are returned especially fall band instruments so they may be checked over and ready for upcoming marching band rehearsals.

This week we have two events we would like everyone to get involved with. First, on Tuesday, April 17th we will be having our spring parents meeting at 7:00pm. We will be discussing the status of band accounts, upcoming events, fundraising opportunities, committees for the rest of this year and next as well as some changes to the student fees for next year. This Saturday, April 21 we will be having our Second Annual Outback Steak House lunch at 11:30 am. Tickets are still available for this event please contact Kim Haugh for tickets. Students will also be receiving more ticket order forms in class today.

Hope that everyone had an nice break.

As we make the push to the end of the year there are many activities and events that are going on as far as concerts and meetings. Please be sure to check the calendar at thspab.org for all the upcoming events.

Ongoing Fundraisers- Currently, the Outback Steak house fundraisers has sold about 40 tickets. Our goal is to  make sure we sell all 100 of the tickets. Attached is the form for ticket ordering. This event is fast approaching (4/21) Please help us reach our goal.

Gadget/ Electronics fundraiser- Please refer to the website for the link to this fundraiser. We do except corporate donations for this fundraiser.  Thanks to Betty Doutt for her companies generous contribution. This fundraiser has been extended to April 30th.

Rescheduled Band Parents Meeting: In an effort to get prepared for the upcoming concert season and get prepared for next year I would like to have a meeting next Tuesday, April 17th. We will discuss committees and band related volunteer opportunities for the coming year.

Incoming 9th Grade Band Parent Meeting: This is an informational meeting for new parents and students that will be entering the program next year. This has been put in place to help inform parents of the activities involved in a high school band program. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 25.

Fundraising News: Thank you to every one that participated in the Yankee Candle and Magazine Fundraisers. Between the two we profited $1,500. Way to go!!!! This week we will be starting our Electronics Recycling fundraiser and the Outback Steak House fundraiser. Attached to this email is our flyer for the electronics fundraiser. Please visit the website THSPAB.GAZELLE.COM and help us promote this fundraiser. Students will be receiving the Outback Ticket Order Forms in class today. Both of these fundraisers will be our April fundraisers. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.

This weeks band meeting has been cancelled due to the pep band traveling to support the Boys Basketball team at the Comcast Center this Thursday. The meeting is being rescheduled for Monday, March 12th at 7:30pm. Please be present to help discuss committees and the current status of our program and concerts for the spring.
