Concert Band
The concert band is comprised of all members enrolled in the band program at Tuscarora High School. Chair placement occurs at the end of each marching season. Students may challenge for a higher seating. The concert band repertoire consists of quality original works for band and the best in orchestral transcriptions. The band attends the county music festival held annually and the state music festival upon qualifying. In addition, the THS concert band will perform two concerts a semester and host a concert of out feeder programs involving the local elementary and middle schools. The concert band rehearses Monday through Friday during the scheduled period. Students will also be required to attend sectionals so personal attention and evaluation can be given to each individual. Additional full band rehearsals will be minimal, as most work is accomplished during the school day.
